At a distance of 70 km from Panjim Kadamba Bus Stand, 65 km from Vasco Da Gama Railway Station and 36 km from Margao Railway Station, Palolem Beach is one of the famous & best beaches in Goa and top tourist attraction in South Goa.

Palolem Beach is also known as 'Paradise Beach'. This beach stretches between two magnificent headlands and the beach is lined with towering coconut palms. The beach is about a mile long and it provides seclusion and idyllic scenery. Palolem Beach is a crescent shape beach and one can soak in its views from the southern end till the northern end in one glimpse of the eyes. Both ends have natural jutting rocks trying to touch the sea. It has little wooded islands to the north and a village behind the beach.

At the northern end of the beach there is a fresh water stream and across the stream lies a small undeveloped island that can be accessed by just swimming across during low tide or taking a ferry. There is a rocky terrain which is fun exploring. At the top of the island there is a stone sculpture created by an American artist Jacek Tylicki called ''Give if you can - Take if you have to'' also called ''the Money stone''. It became a pilgrimage destination. At the low tide it is a tough jungle walk. People can leave or take money at will at the Money stone.

Palolem provides beautiful accommodation for all types of traveler with prices varying throughout the season, Christmas and New Year being the peak. Palolem is also ideal for young families as the atmosphere is relaxed, friendly and safe. Every season bamboo hut resorts and restaurants are erected along the beach allowing tourists to stay right on the sand, only a few meters away from a swim in the Arabian Sea. The beach hut resorts in Palolem Beach are seasonal. This is because of the fact that the area is subject to yearly monsoon rains which mean that the beach huts need to be taken down for a few months a year. The Palolem season usually begins around the end of October and lasts until the end of May.

Palolem Beach is considered to be the safest beach for swimming with absolutely few currents. Beach activities involve Scuba diving, Canyoning, Kayaking and trekking tours. Also, here you can get a chance to look at Dolphins quite closely. Palolem is an ideal place for a mesmerizing sunrise or sunset.

There is lot of eating shacks at the beach serving great seafood to eat. There are several bars at the beach; few of them open till late, so you won't miss the nightlife.
