At a distance of 19 km from Bhagamandala, and 52 km from Madikeri, Karike Falls is a breathtaking waterfall located at Karike village in the Kodagu district of Karnataka. Situated near Bhagamandala, it is one of the stunning waterfalls in Karnataka, and among the top places to visit near Coorg.

Karike Waterfalls is located on the edge of the renowned Talacauvery National Park close to the Karnataka-Kerala border. The waterfall, which cascades down from a height of about 120 feet over a few boulders, shines out among nine magnificent waterfalls in the rich green stretch between Bhagamandala and Panathur during the monsoon season. No residents are found nearby as this area is covered with thick forest.

During summer, the waterfall is dead and no one even notices it. However, in the monsoon season, the waterfall comes alive and what fascinates you here is the mist that the ravishing waterfall creates around it, and the hazy view of greenery. It is safe to admire the splendid waterfall from a distance as it is not advisable to enter into its intense cascades.
