At a distance of 29 km from Tenkasi, 81 km from Kollam, & 86 km from Trivandrum, Palaruvi Waterfall is a wonderful waterfall located at Aryankavu. Situated on Kollam - Tenkasi road, it is one of the popular waterfalls in Kerala, and among the must-visit places during Kollam trip.

Palaruvi Waterfalls, which literally translates to 'Stream of Milk', cascades down through rocks from a height of about 300 feet. It is one of the most beautiful waterfalls near Trivandrum. The waterfall is surrounded by lush green valleys and natural herbal groves, which makes this waterfall, rich in medicinal properties.

Regarded as one of the most famous Kollam sightseeing places, the Palaruvi Waterfall is known to have ayurvedic properties. Locals believe that taking a bath in the holy water benefits one's body to a great extent. The waterfall form a small pool at the bottom which is an ideal place for swimming. There are separate locations for kids and ladies to bathe here. A favorite picnic spot for the tourists, the journey to Palaruvi amidst the greenery of Western Ghats is a breathtaking experience.

Located off the Kollam-Shenkottai road, the waterfall is about 4 km deep within the beautiful forest lands from the NH 208 and is located around the Thenmala Ecotourism center. From the parking area, one needs to walk around 500 m to reach the falls.

The best times to visit the waterfall is from June to January when the monsoon waters are plenty.
