At a distance of 5 km from Rajapur Bus Stand, 55 km from Vijaydurg Fort and 61 km from Ratnagiri, Dhutpapeshwar is ancient temple situated at Dhopeshwar village in Rajapur taluka of Ratnagiri district, Maharashtra.

Also known as Dhopeshwar, Dhutpapeshwar is a famous temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple is in woody area and 2 km away from the main town. The temple is located on the banks of Mrudani River. At the both sides of the temple there are huge mountains and a river flows through it making it more beautiful. Natural beauty around it is extraordinary. Every year thousands of pilgrims from far and near visit the shrine. There is also a Datta Mandir situated near the temple.

A beautiful waterfall over Mrudani River is situated near the temple site and is worth visiting. The best time to visit this waterfall is from July to November. During the period there is plenty of water. There is a huge crowd on Mondays and Mahashivaratri.
