At a distance of 3 km from Saputara Bus Station, Sunset Point is a famous viewpoint located in Saputara, Gujarat. Situated to the west of Sunrise Point, it is one of the prominent Saputara tourist places.

Located near Saputara Lake, Sunset Point is also known as Gandhi Shikhar or Gandhi Peak. The point offers an enchanting view of the sunset over the Sahyadri Mountains during your Saputara trip. As the evening approaches, the sky is painted with an orange hue of the setting sun, which forms a spectacular sight to behold. Also, one can get a splendid view of Dang Forest and various tribal villages in the vicinity of Saputara from this viewpoint.

There are two ways to reach Sunset Point - one by using ropeway or climbing the hills. One needs to walk for 1.5 km from the parking place to reach the peak. The 30 minutes climb is steep and is not suitable for old people and those who have joint pains. Instead, tourists can reach this point in 10 minutes by using Ropeway from Table Land or Table Point. This 10 minutes long Ropeway journey gives visitors an exquisite bird's eye view of Saputara.

The place also offers some activities like horse riding, camel riding, cycling, and small bike for kids. There are many eateries around the area that sell some local delicacies along with popcorn, ice cream, and cotton candies. You can also spend some time clicking pictures here. Although the point can be visited by tourists all year round, the best time is from March to November.
