At a distance of 2 km from Solapur Railway Station, Siddharameshwar Temple is a Hindu temple located in the city of Solapur. It is one of the most famous temples in Maharashtra, and among the prominent places to visit as part of Solapur tour packages.

Located amidst a lake further flanked by Bhuikot Fort, Siddheshwar Temple, also known as Siddharameshwar Temple is dedicated to Lord Siddheshwar, who is considered an incarnation of Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu. The temple is highly revered by the devotees as it is the place where Yogi Sri Siddharameshwar attained Samadhi who is also considered as the six prophets of the Lingayat religion, and a devoted follower of Sri Mallikajuna of Srisailam.

Sri Siddeshwar Temple was built by yogi Sri Siddharameshwar to honor Lord Siddheshwar. There are 68 Shiva lingams in the courtyard, which were installed by Lord Siddheshwar. Amrit Linga is one of them. There are several smaller temples within the complex dedicated to Ganesha, Vithoba, and Rukmini. A silver-plated figure of the mythological bull Nandi is also present in the complex. Additionally, in the middle of the temple, there is a marble tomb of Siddheshwar.

The temple is surrounded by a beautiful lake called Siddheshwar Lake, which is believed to be built by yogi Siddharameshwar. Most visitors like to come here during night, when the water reflects the beautifully illuminated temple. The lake is home to several fish and the locals as well as pilgrims consider it holy to feed them. Therefore, you can see many vendors, who sell fish food outside the temple premises.

The best time to visit the temple will be the Makar Sankranti festival in mid-January when a grand celebration takes place for three days. Gadda Yatra, a local fair, is arranged for fifteen days in the vicinity of the temple.
