Sri Maha Mariamman Temple

Sri Maha Mariamman Temple, also known as Maha Uma Devi Temple, is one of the most popular Hindu Temples in Bangkok, and among the must visit Bangkok tourist places. Located on Silom Road, he temple, locally called as Wat Khaek, was built in 1879 by Vaithi Padayatchi, a Tamil Hindu immigrant. The temple is constructed in the South Indian Temple arctictectural style. Popular among locals as well as tourist alike, the temple is dedicated to the Hindu goddess Mariamman, who is worshipped as the goddess of protection and healing. Also, the temple has other shrines dedicated to Lord Ganesh and Lord Karthikeya.


Dev Mandir

Dev Mandir Temple is another important Hindu Temple situated near the Giant Swing & Wat Suthat in the old city Rattanakosin, Bangkok, among the prominent places to visit in Thailand. Dedicated to Lord Shiva (Nataraja form), it is the center of religious celebrations & activities for the Indian community in Bangkok. Built in 2006, it aims to teach everyone the basics of Hinduism through scriptures and stories that highlight the important values of the religion. Wat Vishnu Temple

The Vishnu Temple is one of the oldest Hindu shrines located in the Yannawa district of Bangkok. Also called as Wat Vishnu, it is a north Indian temple popular with people from the Uttar Pradesh region where they worship Vishnu or Narayana as the highest god. Built-in 1809, the temple houses a beautiful golden statue of Lord Vishnu. Devotees offer water, milk, or marigold flowers and pray to god. The other deities here include Brahma, Shiva, Vishnu, Ganesh, Hanuman, Sita & Rama, Krishna, Lakshmi, Lord Buddha, Parvati, Saraswati, and more. Indra Shrine

Located in front of Amarin Mall, Indra Shrine is another popular Hindu shrine in Bangkok. Consecrated in 1986, the temple is dedicated to the Lord Indra who is the supreme ruler of gods. Indra is also considered an important deity in Bangkok. The idolof the deity here is big in size and looks beautiful in jade green. The deity has 4 arms and holds a discus, bow, thunderbolt, and triple-pronged lance. The three-headed white elephant, Erawan is also found below the deity. In addition, there are also elephant figures found around the Erawan. Popular among all the Hindus and locals, the marigold flowers are offered to the god.


Devasthan Brahmin Shrines

Devasthan Brahmin Shrines is an old Hindu temple located on Rama I Road in Bangkok, Thailand. Dedicated to God Brahma, the temple is one of the most prominent Hindu temples in Bangkok. Built-in 1832 by King Rama III, the temple houses several shrines and statues of Hindu gods and goddesses. It is also the headquarters of the only Hindu temple and the base of the (Thai) Hindu clergy.
