At a distance of 104 km from Nagpur and 112 km from Chandrapur, Tadoba Zone in Tadoba National Park is the most demanded by tourists.

This zone has 3 gates Kolara, Khutwanda, and Navegaon. Tadoba Zone has diverse habitat and very beautiful landscape. Jeep Safari is the best thing that one can experience in Tadoba National Park. The open Jeep ride, also known as tiger safari is usually of few hours in the dense reserve, where the chances of spotting a tiger and other wild animals are relatively high.

The park authority has restricted the total number of jeeps to 112 for the morning and evening drives into the Park. Maximum 23 vehicles are allowed to travel into Tadoba Zone during morning and same number in the evening. Of these, 4 vehicles from Khutwanda, 13 vehicles from Kolara and 6 vehicles from Navegaon are allowed into the park for safari during morning and same number in the evening. But proper accommodation, gypsies and guides are available at Mohurli gate only. For morning safari advance booking is required and for evening safari, permits are given on first come first serve basis.

A park guide has to accompany the jeep for security purpose. Also, the tourists can enter the park by presenting their personal information and identification papers at the gate and the foreigners by showing their passport in original. The tourists are not allowed to get down the jeep throughout the safari excursion as this might risk their life.

Jeep Safari Cost: Rs.2000 per Jeep for Indians (Maximum 6 Persons are allowed), Rs. 300 for Guide

Entry Fee: Rs. 750 per car/jeep and Rs. 1,500 per minibus from Monday to Friday, Rs. 1000 per car/jeep and Rs. 2000 per minibus on weekends and government holidays.

Camera Fee: Rs. 200 for lenses 250 mm and above

Summer: 5 AM - 7 AM and 3 PM - 4.30 PM
Winter: 6 AM - 8 AM and 2 PM - 3.30 PM
