At a distance of 36 km from Fujairah, Masafi is a village located on the edge of the Hajar Mountains in Fujairah. It is one of the popular places to visit in the Emirate of Fujairah, UAE.

Masafi is developed along the old unpaved road which ran from Fujairah to Dubai via Sharjah. It was originally a trading post and refueling stop before the region's modern highways were built in the 1970s. Masafi sits on the border between two emirates, with the larger section of town part of Fujairah, and the smaller section belonging to the Emirate of Ras al-Khaimah. Masafi village is renowned in UAE for its natural springs, with name Masafi itself meaning 'pure water' in Arabic. In addition, the village is the Gulf's top natural mineral water producer.

Masafi is also famous for its Friday Market found on the Dubai-Fujairah. Set among mountains and valleys, with an open market setting, the iconic Friday Market attracts visitors from all over the region. The Friday Market or Souq al Juma'a is especially known for its fresh and locally grown produce like vegetables, fruits, plants, flowers, sweets, honey, Arabic ghee, and dates along with toys, carpets, and pots. This is a great place to buy carpets, mats, etc. Although it is open daily, the market is called the Friday market.
