At a distance of 1 km from Blue Souk, 18 km from Sharjah International Airport and 14 km from Dubai International Airport, the Majaz Waterfront Park is a popular recreational park lies next to Buhaira Corniche in Sharjah. Located between Jamal Abdul Nasser Street and Khalid Lagoon Corniche, Al Majaz Waterfront covers an area of 3 sq. km, featuring stunning scenery overlooking the Khalid Lagoon. This iconic leisure destination boasts breathtaking landscapes and incredible architectural designs that reflect Sharjah's rich cultural and historical heritage.

Launched by Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) in 2010, Al Majaz Waterfront boasts of a range of recreational options, ranging from the fun-filled activity center called Alwan and the 800-square-meter Splash Park, the first-of-its-kind in the region, designed to be completely safe and suitable for children, including easy wheelchair access. The musical fountain is the Waterfront's star attraction with the ability to shoot water up to 100 m high and 220 m wide, and which is also equipped with sound, light and laser techniques. Installed in the late 1970s, the fountain is one of the biggest in the Gulf with soaring water high in the air.

Al Majaz Waterfront has a serene landscape and world-class facilities, green areas, ample parking, play areas for children as well as several restaurants and cafés serving international cuisine, which makes it a perfect destination for families and groups to enjoy. The park also houses the beautiful Al Taqwa Mosque, which is a testament to the rich Islamic culture of the city. The elegant dome and the soothing ambiance emphasize the wonderful spiritual environment, which visitors can easily access to pray, in a spacious well-lit hall.

The waterfront also offers a jogging track paved using 6,000 recycled tyres.
