At a distance of 3 km from Kushinagar Bus Station, Birla Temple is a Hindu temple in Kushinagar. Situated opposite to Vietnamese Temple, it is one of the famous religious places in Kushinagar, and among the must-include places in Kushinagar Packages.

Birla Temple in Kushinagar is built by the Birlas and is one of the newest additions that add to the beauty of the ancient city of Kushinagar. One of the most beautiful and revered temples in Kushinagar, the temple is situated close to Parinirvana Stupa amidst the 5th-century old Stupas and sculptures, monuments, and relics. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and houses a statue of him sitting in an erect posture on a tiger skin. The 'dhyana' position of Lord Shiva shows that he is meditating and this posture leads to the communion of Jivatma or your soul to the Lord's soul or Parmatma.

Many of the Shaivites from all over visit this Birla Temple to get the blessings of the sacred Lord. Besides, the temple also offers excellent facilities to relax and stay at the most reasonable rates for Buddhist and Indian tourists.
