Travel Tips: Surewani remains closed for tourists from 1st July to 15th October and on every Monday. Also, it is closed for afternoon safari on 26th January and on 1st May every year.

At a distance of 85 km from Khawasa and 98 km from Turiya, Surewani is another safari zone of Pench National Park on Maharashtra Side. The entry gate of the zone is situated at Surewani village.

Surewani Zone comes under Maharashtra part of Pench National Park. It is the extended part or buffer zone of Pench Tiger Reserve. The forest is dense and beautiful with a variety of flora and fauna. The forest is home for tigers, leopards, wild boars, chitals, sambars, sloth bear, wild dogs, and many bird species.

The best way to explore the flora and fauna of the national park is to travel through jeep safari. Jeep Safaris operate in two shifts, one in the early morning and another one in the evening. The Jeep Safari is done only with vehicles registered with the park administration as private vehicles are not allowed inside the park. The number of vehicles allowed into Surewani is 7 in the morning and 7 in the evening. Each jeep can take up to 6 travelers other than a driver and one naturalist. Afternoon safari is closed on 26th January & 1st May every year and completely closed on every Monday. Besides, one can also go for a night safari in this zone of Pench.

Online Jungle safari booking is available for this gate. The safari tickets can be booked online at www.mahaecotourism.gov.in. It is strongly recommended to book safari almost 120 days before your trip. The guide fee and vehicle hire fee are to be paid separately at the park before undertaking the safari. Else, one can book safari tickets at the ticket window or through hotels.

All the visitors are required to carry their original identity document during safari drives as it is verified at the entrance gate. Safari tickets are non-transferable. During safari drive, guide service is compulsory on each safari vehicle.

Safari Timings: 6 AM - 11 AM & 2.30 PM - 6 PM from October - June, Night Safari - 6.30 PM - 8.30 PM, closed during monsoon months, every Monday and on 26th January & 1st May for Evening Safari.

Entry Fee (approximately): Rs. 160 per Adults & Rs. 50 per Child for Indians, Rs. 220 per Adults & Rs. 120 per Child for Foreigners, Rs. 110 for Jeep, Rs. 300 for Guide, & Rs. 2000 for Jeep
