At a distance of 4 km from Turiya and 11 km from Khawasa, Teliya is the new buffer zone of the Pench Tiger Reserve. Situated very close to Wolf Sanctuary, the entry gate of this zone is located near Teliya Village.

Like Wolf Sanctuary, Teliya is also popular for the sighting of Indian Wolves. Besides, one can also spot Nilgai, Chowsingha, Barking deer and Chinkara more frequently on the open areas of Teliya. The safari also covers a water hole in the buffer zone.

This zone of Pench is open throughout the year. Morning and evening safaris are permitted in this zone. Very limited numbers of vehicles are allowed for a night safari at Pench. The tour lasts for 3- 4 hours and is done only with vehicles registered with the park administration as private vehicles are not allowed inside the park. Each jeep can take up to 6 travelers other than a driver and one naturalist.

Jeep Safaris in this zone cannot be pre-booked online in advance and can be purchased only at the counter. You may ask your resort or travel agent to arrange the same for you. All the visitors are required to carry their original identity document during safari drives as it is verified at the entrance gate. During safari drive, guide service is compulsory on each safari vehicle.
