At a distance of 1.5 km from Digha Railway Station, New Digha Beach is a stunning beach located in the coastal town of Digha, West Bengal. Situated near Amarabati Park, it is one of the popular beaches in West Bengal and among the must include places in Digha Tour Packages.

Lying on the coast of Bay of Bengal, New Digha Beach is a new beach in Digha that has been developed about 2 km from the old Digha beach. This new beach is bigger, cleaner, well-maintained, and less crowded than the old Digha beach. The old Digha Beach is badly affected by soil-erosion and cannot be used. The sea here starts at about a mile away from the beach area. Lined with casuarina trees, the soft sands of the New Digha beach is a quaint place to spend time in the tranquil lap of nature.

A day spent at the beautiful New Digha Beach will surely last in your memories for a long time. The beach has shallow waters that are safe for swimming. Tourists are often found spending time on the beaches, basking under the sun, taking a bath and indulging in a variety of activities like horse-riding, play volleyball on the beach, boat riding, etc. Besides, the beach is famous for its alluring sunrise and sunsets, which are breathtaking when the golden rays of the sun make a reflection on the sea waves.
Be careful while at the beach as there are rocks in some places on which seawater hits at a fast speed. Hence, it is always better to avoid those places as numerous accidents have taken place in the past. There are many eateries and beach shacks at the beach where you can enjoy the local seafood delicacies, coconut water, beer among other things.
