At a distance of 10 km from Dalhousie, 16 km from Khajjiar and 38 km from Chamba, Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary or Kalatop Khajjiar Sanctuary, is wildlife sanctuary located in Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh. The sanctuary lies in the catchments area of river Ravi, and the altitude of the sanctuary varies from 3910 feet to 9134 feet. It is a popular site to explore by trek near Dalhousie.

Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary was founded in 1958 and is one of the most popular wildlife sanctuaries in Himachal Pradesh. This sanctuary is spread over an area of 1962 hectares and the landscapes are thickly covered with Deodar trees interspersed with little streams flowing into the Ravi River. The sanctuary is located between Dalhousie and Chamba.

The vegetation inside the sanctuary consists of blue pine, deodar and oak forests. The sanctuary boasts of a wide variety of wildlife. Leopard, Bear, Deer, Squirrel, Barking Goral, Serow, Langur, .....

At a distance of 75 km from Kullu, 63 km from Bhuntar, 113 km from Manali and 14 km from Gushaini, The Great Himalayan National Park (GHNP) is spread across Parvati valley, Thirthan valley, Sainj valley & Jiwa Nal valley of Kullu region. In June 2014, the Park was declared as UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The Great Himalayan National Park is one of best national parks in India and also one of the best Places to visit in Himachal state. The park was established in 1984 and is spread over an area of 754 sq km at an altitude varying between 1500 to 6000 m. GHNP was formally declared a national park in 1999. The GHNP is situated adjacent Pin Valley National Park, Rupi-Bhaba Wildlife Sanctuary and the Tirthan and Sainj Wildlife Sanctuaries, making it one of the biggest areas for wildlife conservation in the whole Himalayan range.

At a distance of 70 km from Kullu, 75 km from Mandi and 105 km from Manali, Tirthan Valley is one of the most beautiful places in Himachal Pradesh. The valley is located inside the Great Himalayan National Park and it has to be reached from Gushani by trek. Tirthan Valley is one of the best trekking trails in Himachal Pradesh. It is one of the four valleys situated in the GHNP. Gushaini is the entry point to start trekking into Tirthan valley.

Thirthan Valley has several trekking trails ranging from one day to 8 days starting from Gushani with distance varying between 10 to 60 km (round trip). Tirthan valley derives its name from Tirthan River, which originates from glaciers of Himalayas. The Tirthan River is abundant of trout fish. The valley is situated at an altitude of 1600 m. The area is known for the Trout fishing and access to Great Himalayan National Park (GHNP).

At a distance of 249 km from Manali Bus Stand and 437 km from Shimla, The Pin Valley National Park is located in the Lahaul of Spiti district in the state of Himachal Pradesh. Pin Valley is one of the most beautiful treks in Himachal state. It was declared as a national park in 1987.

Sprawling over an area of 1150 sq km as buffer zone and 675 sq km as core zone, Pin Valley National Park is a part of the Great Himalayan National Park Conservation Area. Established in 1987, the elevation of the park ranges from about 3500 m near Ka Dogri to more than 6000 m at its highest point.

Pin Valley National Park is located in the cold desert region of the Spiti valley. The Park forms a natural habitat for a number of endangered animals. Snow leopard is the most important resident of the park. Besides snow leopard, Siberian ibex, bharal, weasel, red fox, marten are other animals that are the highlight of the park. It is home to birds like pika, snow cock, bearded vulture, chukor, golden .....
