At a distance of 15 km from Mawsynram, Mawlyngbna is a scenic village located in Mawsynram Tehsil of East Khasi Hills district in Meghalaya. It is one of the beautiful places to visit in Meghalaya and among the best places to experience Mawsynram Tourism.

The scenic village of Mawlyngbna is located on a hilltop. This serene village is famous for its rich fossils of animals dating back to 200 million years. Within the village are several natural springs that supply clean fresh water year-round. On the outskirts of the village is a large broadleaf forest which is famous for endangered predaceous pitcher plant. From the hilltop one can witnesses the dramatic sequence of the rolling Khasi hills merging into the Bangladesh plains.

There are also numbers of picturesque waterfalls among which the most notable ones are Um Diengkain and Ar Phalat waterfalls. There is also an adventure park run by Mawlyngbna village community which offers adventure sports like swimming, zip-lining, fishing, kayaking and boating. In order to showcase their culture, the community holds local dances, displays their handicrafts like handlooms, baskets and implements at the village museum.

The Mawlyngbna Traveller's Nest is the only accommodation option at Mawlyngbna which is owned and managed by Mawlyngbna Multipurpose Cooperative Society Limited. There are only 2 cottages at this place but camping option is also available. The place is clean and well-maintained where one will get basic amenities here.
