At a distance of 7 km from Palm Jumeirah and 36 km from Dubai International Airport, Dubai Marina is a conceptualized man-made canal city in Dubai. It is one of the popular places to visit while holidaying in Dubai.

Nestled in the New Dubai, the artificial canal city of Dubai Marina was built along a 3-kilometer (2 mi) stretch of Persian Gulf shoreline. It is located on Interchange 5 between Jebel Ali Port and the area which hosts Dubai Internet City, Dubai Media City, and the American University in Dubai. Dubai Marina was inspired by the Concord Pacific Place development along False Creek in Vancouver, BC, Canada.

With over 200 high-rise towers, including 40 towers of the Jumeirah Beach Residence, it is the world's largest man-made marina. It offers luxurious lifestyles through its exquisite waterfront development along the Persian Gulf shoreline. There are classy hotels and upscale shopping and other leisure options here. It also contains the Dubai Marina Mall Complex, a shopping and entertainment destination. However, only Dubai Marina Mall and Dubai Marina Walk are accessible to the general public.

Dubai Marina Walk is a 7-kilometer long walkway that runs from the start to the end of Dubai Marina. It is dotted with a number of nice restaurants, cafes and shopping outlets. Considered to be one of the most pedestrian-friendly areas in Dubai, it is an ideal place for many people to either go for a jog, an evening of shopping or just taking a stroll by the waterfront. Many fancy yachts and speedboats are parked near the waterfront, making it a beautiful sight. Dubai Marina also has a dedicated beach that stretches along a 3 km long coastline. Entry to the beach is only through the Dubai Marina. The beach is a tourist favorite for the fact that it is less crowded when compared to the other major beaches in Dubai and also with the many restaurants here.

For a quicker commute within the Marina, there is the Dubai Tram which can get you to both ends of the complex for AED 3 - AED 5 varying on the distance. If u want to explore the Dubai Marina a bit differently then take the Water Bus which takes you around the Canal. Another exciting water-based activity, a speedboat tour is fun for the whole family and lets you see the entire Marina in just 1.5 hours. Apart from exploring the Marina, the route takes you to Marina Canal, The Palm including the famous Atlantis hotel, Burj Al Arab, Palm Lagoon.
