At a distance of 13 km from Dubai International Airport, the Dubai Mall is a shopping mall located in the heart of the prestigious Downtown Dubai. Situated next to the iconic Burj Khalifa, it is the biggest shopping mall in Dubai and among the must-visit places for shopaholics while holidaying in Dubai.

Situated next to Burj Khalifa, Dubai Mall is the most-visited retail and entertainment destination, which welcomes more than 80 million visitors annually. It is the 2nd largest shopping mall in the world which covers more than 1 million square meters. The mall features around 1200 stores, two anchor department stores and hundreds of food and beverage outlets. It also has a 250-room luxury hotel, 22 cinema screens plus 120 restaurants and cafes. The Mall has over 14,000 parking spaces across 3 car parks, with valet services and a car locator ticketing system. The mall was voted the best shopping experience in the world by Grazia Magazine in 2010.

Serving as the entryway to Burj Khalifa, the Dubai Mall offers an unparalleled retail variety combined with world-class dining, entertainment, and leisure attractions. The Fashion Avenue, the precinct dedicated to over 150 new luxury shopping and dining experiences, positions The Dubai Mall as the fashion capital for the Middle East. Another niche component is The Souk, an elegantly designed precinct featuring jewellery shops, accessory outlets, traditional Arab clothing brands, and handicraft stores. Shopaholics will rejoice at the Dubai Mall as it offers everything from makeup to home furniture and from branded to regular outfits.

The Dubai Mall features the world-class Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo, which is a walk-through aquarium with a collection of over 300 species of marine animals including sharks and rays. Another favorite activity here apart from shopping is the Dubai Ice Rink. It is a family-oriented attraction open to the general public. The rink also serves as a multi-purpose venue that can be transformed into a concert arena, or host private functions. Other than that, the Dubai Mall is home to an indoor theme park, a huge indoor waterfall, and a choreographed outdoor fountain.

Also, the mall is the venue for many special events such as live music and fashion shows. The most famous of these are the annual Dubai Shopping Festival in January and February and the Dubai Summer Surprises Festival in July and August. The Dubai Shopping Festival is a haven for shopaholics around the globe. Major brands showrooms in Dubai have huge discounts on their products, making the deals inevitable for even the most reluctant shoppers. One can buy all sorts of products like clothes, electronic accessories, branded perfumes, food items, home décor, and gold jewellery all at slashed prices. The discounts on prices of all go down to a jaw-dropping 75%.
