At a distance of 15 km from Ramnagar, Jhirna is located on the southern periphery of Jim Corbett Tiger Reserve. Visitors can enter this zone via Dhela gate and need to show the permit at the entrance gate.

Among all the zones, the best and most comfortable Zone for tourists is Jhirna Safari Zone. Jhirna Forest Lodge is located at southern boundary of the Corbett National Park, 25 km from Ramnagar. Every year huge number of tourists visit Jhirna to witness the amazing wildlife. This area is known for its natural beauty apart from vide range of wildlife.

The Jhirna Jeep Safari is one of the most popular activities in Corbett National Park. About 25 vehicles are allowed to get into this area in the morning and same number of vehicles are allowed in the evening. Advance reservation is allowed for morning trips. For evening trips, first come first serve system is followed. It is compulsory to take a guide along. This is one of the two Tourist zones in Corbett National Park which is open throughout the year. Jhirna has a forest lodge which has two rooms. One can stay the night here and go for an elephant safari in the morning.
