At a distance of 4 km from Ramnagar Railway Station, Bijrani zone in Corbett National Park is the most famous among day tourists. Its entrance is at Amdanda, after entering through Amdanda gate, one can cross about 5 km of buffer zone before reaching the core safari area.

Bijrani is a beautiful spot and is known for its vast grass lands, deep forest, stormy drains and wildlife. Once a part of a shooting block, area in and around Bijrani is dry and also has more diverse vegetation. The terrain was famed for the quality of game hunting, during the British period.

To visit Bijrani, permission needs to be obtained from The Director, Corbett Tiger Reserve, Ramnagar. Maximum 30 vehicles are allowed to travel into Bijrani during morning and same number of vehicles are allowed in the evening hours. At a distance of 14 km from Ramnagar, Garjiya Devi Temple or Girija Devi Temple is a famous temple located in Garjiya village on the outskirts of the Corbett National Park in Nainital district of Uttarakhand.

It is a sacred Shakti shrine and is one of the most famous temples in Nainital district. Katyuri Kings, the rulers of Ramnagar, discovered the temple in 1840. It is said that the idol of Goddess Parvati was found on mountains at Garjiya village and the temple was built. In 1970, the temple was reconstructed and after that, the temple gained prominence and visited by large number of tourists.

The temple is dedicated to Goddess Garjiya Devi and is situated over a large rock in the middle of Kosi River. At a distance of 20 km from Ramnagar Railway Station, Dhikala is the main administrative center and also the biggest forest safari zone at the Jim Corbett National Park. Visitors can enter this zone via Dhangari gate and need to show the permit at the entrance gate.

There is watchtower located at the site, tourists can avail views of the valley and the Kanda Ridge from here. Dhikala chaur is one of the largest remaining grasslands of the park and is located in front of the Tourist Complex. Near this grassland also lies Phulai chaur. Tourists can spot wild elephants, chital, hog deer, raptors and numerous grassland bird species here. Built over a 100 year ago, the old rest house at the site is a historic structure.

At a distance of 30 km from Ramnagar, Durgadevi Zone is the hill safari zone located at the North-Eastern side of the Corbett National Park. Visitors can enter this zone via Durgadevi Gate and need to show the permit at the entrance gate.
Durgadevi Safari zone is a hilly area and is situated along the banks of Ramganga River. This zone is particularly famous for sighting wild elephants and Otters at Domunda Bridge. Famous Masheer fish can also be seen in the waters of Ramganga River in Durga Devi zone. Lush green forest in this range provides ample opportunity for bird watching as well.

Tourist can stay overnight in Lohachaur Forest Rest House of Durgadevi zone. Visitors can take Jeep safari to experience wildlife from close proximity. At a distance of 25 km from Ramnagar, Sitabani buffer zone is very famous tourist spot of Corbett National Park nestled in the foothills of the mighty Himalayas in Uttarakhand. This buffer zone is not part of the Corbett Tiger Reserve. This is the only forest in Corbett where tourists can take a wild trek inside the forest.

Managed by Archaeological Survey of India, Sitabani is a famous zone for bird watching and has an ashram situated inside the jungle. The museum was formally initiated by a few forest officers in the year 1965. Jim Corbett built this house in 1922 for himself at Choti Haldwani, which now houses the museum in his memory. It is a single storied bungalow built using stone and lime mortar on a high plinth. This house served as winter residence for Jim and his sister Maggie. Before leaving India in 1947, he sold this property to a friend Babu Chiranji Lal. Later, in 1965 it was sold to the forest department for setting up the museum.
