At a distance of 3 Km from Surat Railway Station, Chintamani Parswanath Jain Temple is a revered Jain temple in the Shahpore locality of Surat. It is one of the famous temples to visit as part of the Surat packages from Mumbai.

The Chintamani Jain Temple is dedicated to Lord Parswanath, the 23rd Tirthankara of Jainism. Constructed in 1699 AD during Aurangzeb's reign, it stands as one of the oldest Jain temples in Surat. Historical accounts indicate that a king named Kumarpal from the Solanki dynasty ruled during the 12th century, and he appointed Acharya Hemachandraji as his advisor. The Acharya was a Jain preacher, poet, and philosopher, and under Kumarpal's leadership, the kingdom experienced significant prosperity. The Chintamani Temple is believed to have been built in honor of those great people.

From the outside, the Chintamani Jain Temple appears quite simple, yet it astonishes visitors with its remarkable creativity and craftsmanship. The temple is famous for its exquisite wooden architecture, which features intricate carvings and designs that reflect the artistry of the period. The wooden pillars are embellished with paintings made from vegetable dyes, enhancing the temple's visual appeal. These paintings portray Acharya Hemachandraji, King Kumarpal, and other Solanki kings. The temple is well-maintained, clean, and offers a serene atmosphere, embodying a blend of religious, meditative, artistic, and historical significance.
