With snow-capped mountains in the backdrop, the Ningle Nallah finds its source in the Alpather Lake as well as from the melting of ice in the Apharwat Peak. After winding its way through mountains and valleys, this stream joins the River Jhelum near Sopore. The beauty of the stream is enhanced by the gorgeous surroundings that mostly comprise snow-capped mountains and lush green meadows of blooming wildflowers on either side.

It is a much sought-after tourist spot and ideal for picnics, especially among families with kids. The lakeside is a beautiful area that serves as a playground for kids. Moreover, there are ample opportunities in the nearby meadows for overnight camping. So if you wish to camp by the gurgling waters of the stream below a star-lit sky and surrounded by nature's magic, this is the place to be. Trekking enthusiasts also find the challenging slopes and uneven lands of the surrounding area, ideal for testing their acumen. One can also try their hand at trout fishing at the stream.
