At a distance of 12 km from Yercaud and 41 km from Salem, Karadiyur View point is a natural view point situated near Karadiyur village. Karadiyoor was so named because of the large number of sloth bears found in this region earlier.
This is a fantastic viewpoint with wonderful views of the valleys in Yercaud region. The mesmerizing view from the Karadiyur viewpoint is one of the prime attractions in Yercaud. The view of sunrise as well as sunset from this location is a unique attraction.
There is a newly built watch tower. Visitors can camp at this spot overnight and make an attempt for rock climbing. Karadiyur view point is accessible by one km trek from the nearest road point.
The best time to visit the Karadiyur view point would be from November to March. Though it can be visited during any time of the day, Sunset time offers the best view.
