At a distance of 8 km from Ajman Bus Station, Dhow Yard is a Dhow manufacturing unit nestled on the northern end of the Ajman Creek in the city of Ajman, UAE. It is one of the world's largest dhow-building centres and among the prime places to visit in Ajman.

Renowned as a prime dhow producing centre in UAE, Ajman Dhow Yard is a perfect for place those who are interested in understanding the early art of dhow making. Historically, wooden dhows played a vital role in fishing, pearling and trading across the region. The dhow is considered to be one of the iconic emblems of the UAE along with falcons from the ancient sport of falconry. Dhows made in Ajman are considered among the best quality available.

Here, Dhows are built using traditional tools and manual skills that have been handed down through the generations, all the more amazing as these boats are constructed without blueprints. Ajman's dhow-building yard is making both traditional wooden dhows and modern fibreglass versions. It can produce almost above thirty boats at a time. The exterior of the dhows is now mainly made with fibreglass material instead of wood, although timber is still used for the hull and masts of the boats. The Dhow Yard in Ajman also crafts the speedsters that participate in the Dubai Powerboat meets.
