At a distance of 1 km from Red Fort and 76 km from Ajman, the Manama Museum is a new museum situated at Al Manama town in the emirate of Ajman, UAE. It is one of the popular museums in the emirate and among the top Ajman Tourist Places.
The Manama Museum is housed in the White Fort, originally named Al Mareer Fort. The fort was built as a royal residence at the time of Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, who ruled the emirate from 1928 until 1981. It features a guard's tower and a well. The fort is surrounded by palm trees irrigated by the old falaj system that channels underground water from the mountains. The fort has been converted into a museum in the year 2012.
Housed in an impressive fort, Al Manama Museum highlights the region's heritage, traditional architecture and crafts. There are seven large rooms displaying a collection of weaponry, Bedouin jewellery and handicrafts.
