Odayam Beach - History, Timings & Entry Fee

At a distance of 4 km from Varkala Railway Station, Odayam Beach is a secluded beach situated on the coast of the Arabian Sea in Varkala. It is one of the lesser-known beaches in Kerala and among the top Varkala tourist places.

The Odayam Beach lies a few km ahead of Thiruvambadi Beach and Cliff Beach. Odayam Beach is a short narrow stretch of beach and the most portion with blackish sand. A small oasis of splendor, this is on the off-the-beaten part of beaches in Varkala. This is the perfect place for those who are seeking solitude away from the typical sun-worshiping crowd.

As you walk northward along the beach-line from the North Cliff, you will pass through the fisher folk's villages. At Odayam, you'll share the beach with the local fishermen folks who go about their daily lives at sea. With spectacular views, and less crowd makes it a peaceful alternative to Varkala's main beach.
