At a distance of 2 km from Maheshwar Bus Station, Jaleshwar Temple is a Hindu temple located in Maheshwar, Madhya Pradesh. It is one of the important religious Maheshwar places to visit.

Dedicated to Lord Shiva, Jawleeshwar Mahadev Temple is located on the west side of the confluence of Maheshwari and Narmada river. The temple houses a deity worshipped as God of Water. The Jaleshwar Temple was constructed based on the legend that Lord Shiva protected the earth from River Ganga's impact when she fell on earth from heaven.

Behind this temple, Kadamb forest and Kadambeshwar temple are established. At this place, Jagat Guru Shankaracharya had rested and was involved in a categorical discussion on different thought processes of the Sanatan Hindu religion. Also, the temple is known for its carved overhanging balconies, architecture, and its various spires.
