Travel Tips: For people who are interested in sightseeing around Pachmarhi, the guests are required to take a day visit permit from Bison Lodge Museum. Moreover, the tourists also need to travel by local jeeps as cars brought from outside cannot be used at this place.

At a distance of 7 km from Pachmarhi Bus Station, Duchess Falls is a beautiful cascade located in Pachmarhi, Madhya Pradesh. It is one of the stunning waterfalls in Pachmarhi and among the must-visit Pachmarhi Tourist Places.

The hill station of Pachmarhi is endowed with multiple picturesque waterfalls and amongst them are the famous Duchess falls acting as the absolute best of the lot. Also known as 'Jalwataran', Duchess Falls is a perennial stream that cascades down from a height of about 100 m creating a majestic roar. This beautiful waterfall bifurcates into three different cascades. One can spend some time at a shallow pond here, appreciating the beauty of nature.

Surrounded by dense greenery and natural beauty, the idea of a refreshing dip in the cold waters of this surreal water body, the alluring sight of the roaring water, and the bounty of nature make this waterfall a popular spot amongst the tourists.

Duchess Fall could be reached by trekking almost 4 km of a steep climb from the main road. This trek leads you to the base of the first cascade, where the splashes and mists welcome you. The climb is quite arduous and is not advisable for elderly people as well as people having low stamina. One will need a core zone permit and guide from Bison Lodge to visit the place.
