Akshi Beach - History, Timings & Entry Fee

At a distance of 6.5 km from Alibaug Bus Stand and 3.5 km from Nagaon Beach, Akshi Beach is a serene beach situated at Akshi village near Alibaug. This is one of the top beaches in Alibaug and also one of the popular beaches in Maharashtra.

Located on Alibag - Revdanda road, Akshi Beach is a beautiful white sand beach with Suru trees dotting the coast. The combination of the trees and white sand add charm to the beauty of the beach. Akshi is a long stretch of beach which continues onto Nagaon to its south. The beach is also a favorite among the birdwatchers and nature lovers.

Akshi Beach is an ideal for those who are seeking quietness and solitude. The water is clean and safe for swimming. Visitors can see the Kulaba Fort and Alibag at a distance from the beach. The beach is frequented by tourists in large number as a variety of birds and different flora can be seen at the beach. There is a fishermen settlement at the northern end of Akshi Beach and it is better to avoid in the mornings.
