At a distance of 24 Km from Malvan, the Achara Beach is a scenic beach located in Achara village on the outskirts of Malvan, Maharashtra. It is one of the most famous tourist places in Malvan.

Achara Beach is renowned for its stunning, immaculate stretch of unspoiled sand, captivating azure waters, and lush mangrove forest. Visitors are sure to be enchanted by the pristine and untouched allure of this hidden treasure. Take a leisurely stroll along the soft white sand or enjoy a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear waters, all while witnessing a dreamy pink sunrise or a breathtaking golden sunset. The beach is relatively uncrowded, making it an ideal spot for meditation or to relish moments of tranquility.

The highlight of this beach is the delightful lighthouse perched on a hill, not far from the coastline. The scenic vista of the sea alongside the lighthouse in the background creates a magnificent photograph, particularly at sunset when a golden hue envelops the area. Arriving at Achara Beach early in the morning allows visitors to witness the captivating sight of dolphins leaping through the waves. The winding path through 'Jamdool Island' adds to the experience. During migration season, cruising near Achara Beach offers a chance to observe various bird species.

Achara can also be accessed by walking along Tondavali beach. This 9-kilometer trek along the shore promises an unforgettable adventure for visitors. Achara Beach is an excellent destination for those seeking solitude. The site beautifully merges a sandy beach with the shallow blue waters of an estuary. When hunger strikes, be sure to indulge in the delectable vada-pavs and flavorful street food offered by local vendors at the few food stalls lining the beach.

Additionally, do not miss the opportunity to visit the ancient Rameshwar Temple and a 115-year-old library located near Achara Beach. This esteemed temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, showcases remarkable architecture and intricate carvings. Historically, individuals were awarded Inams, Jagirs, or Watans (land) by Kings or Emperors for their accomplishments. Achara is also an Inam or Jagir, but its ownership is not held by an ordinary individual. Chhatrapati Shambhu Raje of Kolhapur granted this Inam to Shri Dev Rameshwar.
