At a distance of 2 Km from Malvan Bus Stand, Jai Ganesh Temple is another Hindu temple situated in the coastal town of Malvan, Maharashtra. It is one of the must-include places in the Malvan packages from Pune.

The Jai Ganesh Temple is dedicated to Lord Ganesha and is well-known for its religious importance in Malvan. The temple was built in the year 2004 by Jayant Salgaonkar, an Indian businessman, historian, scholar, and writer. He is also the writer of the famous book Kalnirnay, which offers simplified insights into the Panchang, auspicious days, festivals, holidays, as well as sunrise and sunset timings. Today, it stands as a favored tourist destination in Malvan.

Adorned in hues of white and gold, the temple presents a magnificent view. Its elaborate design and spacious arrangement create a tranquil atmosphere, ideal for peaceful contemplation and reflection. The inner sanctum is square-shaped, featuring an elegant tower on the exterior. Inside the main sanctum, one can find the gold-plated idol of Lord Ganesh, accompanied by the statues of Riddhi and Siddhi. Siddhi is depicted holding a Dhol and a sword, while Riddhi is shown with a pen and paper. In this temple, Lord Ganesha is referred to as Jay Ganesha, as he bestows blessings upon all his devotees for success in their lives.

According to local tradition, it is recommended to visit the temple during the sacred occasion of Makar Sankranti, as this is when the sunlight directly illuminates the foot of the idol. Another notable aspect of the temple is its ceiling, which features idols of Ganesha in eight different postures. Visitors often feel that Lord Ganesh gazes kindly at his devotees from all eight directions. The use of rich and soothing colors enhances the temple's aesthetic appeal.

Ganesh Jayanti, which is celebrated on the fourth day of the Magh month (August/September), represents the best time to visit the temple, as it is beautifully decorated with vibrant lights. This day also commemorates the anniversary of the temple. The most suitable time to experience the peaceful ambiance and observe the evening Aarti is around 7:30 PM.
