At a distance of 1 km from Masani Amman Temple, and 14 km from Pollachi Junction, Aliyar Water Cascade is a scenic spot located at Anaimalai near Pollachi, Tamil Nadu. Situated at the confluence of the Aliyar River and the Uppar stream, it is one of the popular places to visit near Coimbatore, and among the must include places in Pollachi Tour Packages.

Aliyar Water Cascade is formed over a check dam built on the Uppar River. The area is neat, clean, and less crowded. It has many water-related entertainments like running water overflow over which you can enjoy walking, simply lie down and get yourself wet, and dive into the other side from the water channel top, etc. Diving on the reservoir side is very risky as it has approximately 15feet in depth. Also when you stand against water force one needs to be careful about getting hit by stone if the balance is lost. This dam is mainly used by local people for their daily use like washing, bathing & entertainment.

Post-monsoon is the best season to visit this place when the dam is full. The approach path is not developed & a bit messy. But you will enjoy the water area as that is very clean. There are no amenities since it was not developed as a tourist spot.
