Hornbill Viewpoint - History, Timings & Entry Fee

At a distance of 10 km from Monkey Falls, and 28 km from Valparai, Hornbill Point is a spectacular vantage point located in Valparai, Tamilnadu. Situated just opposite Attakatti Checkpost, it is one of the splendid Valparai tourist places to visit, and among the must include places in your Valparai Tour.

Situated on Pollachi - Valparai Road, Hornbill Viewpoint offers stunning views of the Upper Aliyar Dam, Kadamparai Powerhouse, lush green valleys, and magnificent waterfalls flowing between the steep cliffs of the mountain ranges. The spectacular scenery and the tranquil environment of the viewpoint attract many tourists and nature lovers. It is a perfect place to spend some relaxed moments immersed in the tranquility of nature.

To access this viewpoint, one has to walk 500 m from Attakatti Checkpost. The panoramic view of lush green trees makes you feel that the view is worth the walk. One can see the hornbills on your way to the viewpoint. During the months between September and February, the viewpoint is surrounded by clouds which make the place an apt one to take pictures and enjoy the view.
