At a distance of 25 km from Valparai Bus Station, Manampalli is a highly reserved shola forest located in Anamalai Tiger Reserve, Valparai. Situated between Sholayar Dam and Valparai, it is one of the interesting places for trekking in Valparai.

Known for its thick Shola forests, fast-flowing rivers, and beautiful peaks, Manampalli is a favorite trekking spot for adventure enthusiasts. It is a popular dense forest with no tea plantations or different human undertaking. This place is virtually between Sholayar and Valparai however one needs to travel 8 km via the jungle from the main road to reach the place. Around 15-20 households are surviving at this place through working for Sholayar Power House which is a primary electrical energy source for Valparai.

Graced by the Manompally River, this place well-known for its rich fauna being geographically bordered to Top slip and Parambikulam. One can spot Elephants, Bison, deer, and some endangered species. For trekkers, Manampalli also has a cute little rest house at its foothills, which can serve the purpose of a base camp. The guest house is located inside the middle of the forest with no electricity which is Solar powered. Guests have to carry everything whatever needed for cooking nothing available nearby so carefully take everything when you plan a trip. There is a cook-caretaker available for help in that guesthouse.

Besides, the only public transportation available is the bus which goes to Valparai in the morning and returns by evening. One needs to take prior permission from the main office in Pollachi or contact DFO to get in and stay in the Manampalli forest guest house.
