At a distance of 8 km from Valparai Bus Station, Karumalai Anna Velankanni Church is a Catholic church located in Valparai, Tamilnadu. Situated in Karumalai Tea Estate, it is one of the significant places to visit during your Valparai Tour.

Constructed in 2003, the church is dedicated to Velankanni Matha and is associated with many miracles. This church comes under the Coimbatore diocese. The architecture of the church is excellent and the environment is so peaceful. Surrounded by tea plantations, the church is fringed with verdant greenery that makes a visit to this place even more special.

Furthermore, making this place a must-visit attraction in Valparai is the surreal views of tea estates from which the church is surrounded by and a waterfall called Iraichal Parai Falls and a small river which streams beside the church. The waterfall originates from the springs in the Grass Hills and it forms the perennial Nadumalai River which flows through Valparai. Bathing in the falls is strictly prohibited as it provides drinking water to the surrounding region. There is also a check dam on the river.
