At a distance of 6 km from Kanpur Central, Moti Jheel is a lake in the Benajhabar area of Kanpur. It is one of the peaceful places to visit during your Kanpur trip.

Moti Jheel, located in the Benajhabar area of Kanpur, is a water storage spot as well as a great sightseeing point. Moti means pearl and Jheel means lake, thus giving its name Pearl Lake. With eventual urbanization, this rectangular lake was further opened as a public area that encouraged relaxation. It is flanked on one side by the campus of Lala Lajpat Rai Hospital and the other side several important Kanpur Municipal Corporation buildings.

The expanse of this lake and garden is vastly divided into sections such as the Baal Udhyan or the Children's Park, which is a Japanese-styled garden. Moti Jheel along with Moti Park and Kamala Retreat is a significant local recreational spot. The park houses with Vivekanand Smritika and Abdul Kalam Azad Memorial. Moti Jheel was also featured in the Bollywood flick, Bunty Aur Babli.
