At a distance of 2 km from Kohora Bus Stand, Central Range is the main zone in Kaziranga National Park. This is an ideal place to enjoy Jeep Safari and Elephant Safari inside the national park.

The entry gate to the Central or Kaziranga Range of the Kaziranga National Park is located in Mihimukh area of Kohora town. It lies between Western and Eastern Range which covers the Daglang and Foliomari area. The Central Range safari is the most popular choice of jeep safari and has a well-marked 28 km trail which took about 2hours. The safari offers some spectacular sighting of the grazing Rhinos or wallowing in the large grassland, herds of elephants and many other species of the wild flora and fauna of this tourism zone. Jeep Safari and Elephant Safari are conducted here in the morning and evening during season i.e. from November to April.

At a distance of 2 km from Kohora Bus Stand, Central Range is the main zone in Kaziranga National Park. This is an ideal place to enjoy Elephant Safari and get a lifetime experience.

The entry gate to the Central Range of the Kaziranga National Park is located at Kohora town. The Central Zone starts from the Mihimukh riding tower, which is also the Elephant Safari starting point. Tourists who have booked for one hour Elephant Safari in to the Kaziranga Range will ride the elephant from this point. Safari ride passes through the Daglang and Foliomari area.

One of the major attractions in the park region, Elephant safari is the perfect way to watch the Kaziranga wildlife from the close quarters. The Elephant Safari permits in the Central Zone can be obtained from the Centenary Convention Center at Kohora in advance. The Elephant Safari is organized only in the morning time in two shifts during season i.e. from November to April.

At a distance of 11 km from Kohora Bus Stand, the Western Range at Bagori is considered as one of the best zones for the wildlife sighting in Kaziranga National Park. It has magnificently beautiful landscape with an abundance of wildlife species and lush greenery.

The entry gate to the Western Zone of the Kaziranga Park is located at Bagori. The Bagori Tourism Office is the starting point of this zone from where tourists can take the Jeep safari to the world famous Kaziranga. The Safari in Bagori Range covers Donga Beel and the right bank of Mori Diffalu River. It has a well-marked 26 km trail which took about 2 hours. Unlike Central Range, the Western Range safaris are wilder and take a rather bumpy jeep ride to get to this side of the reserve but it is well worth the trouble. The Jeep Safari in the Bagori zone offers an amazing sighting of the Rhinos, Elephant, Swap Deer and Wild Buffalos along with great variety of birds.

At a distance of 20 km from Kohora Bus Stand, the Eastern Range or Agaratoli Range of the Kaziranga National Park spreads in the eastern side of the park along the National Highway near Agaratoli village. This zone has beautiful landscape with an abundance of wildlife species and lush greenery.

The entry gate to the Eastern Range of the Kaziranga National Park is situated at Agaratoli which is located on the National Highway. The Agaratoli Tourism Office is the starting point of this zone and only Jeep Safari is organized here. The Safari in Agaratoli Range covers Soholabeel, Maklung, Turturani and Dhuba areas of Kaziranga. It has a well-marked 22 km trail which took about 2 hours to complete.

Like Western Range, the safaris in Agaratoli Range are wilder and bumpy. Despite the bumpy rides, birders prefer this range because of the greater variety of birds, including bar-headed geese, black-necked storks, spot-billed ducks, and pelicans. The eastern zone also offers boat safari .....

At a distance of 33 km from Kohora Bus Stand, the Burapahar Range of Kaziranga National Park is situated at Ghorakati on National Highway. This is the first zone on the way to Kaziranga from Guwahati by road.

The entry gate to the Burapahar zone of the Kaziranga Park is located at the Ghorakati village. The Rhino Land Park is the starting point for the Jeep Safari in this zone. The Burapahar tourism zone is the hilly terrain with beautiful scenery of nature and also considered best for birding. It has a well-marked 17 km trail which took about 1-2 hours. The zone also offers the trekking in the forest on the designated route which can be a very enriching experience to explore the dense forest so close. The Hoolock Gibbon and the Capped Langur can be primarily spotted in this zone along with a large number of Avifauna species.

At a distance of 3 km from Numaligarh, 38 km from Kohora and 30 km from Golaghat, Deoparbat Ruins, also known as Deopahar Ruins is an archeological site situated at Numaligarh town in Golaghat district of Assam. It is one of the popular places of heritage in Assam and among the best places to visit in Kaziranga National Park.

The Deopahar Ruins are archeological remains of a Shiva Temple and Lakhowgart Fortress that belongs to 8th - 9th century CE. The ruins of Deopahar tell about the culture of Assamese ancestors and the Ahom people. According to the mythology, Deopahar is part of the Kingdom of Jarasandha, who related to the great epic Mahabharata. At a distance of 13 km from Bokakhat, 32 km from Kohora, 56 km from Golaghat and 75 km from Jorhat, Kakochang is a stunning waterfall situated near Naharjan Gaon in Assam. It is one of the best waterfalls in Assam and among the best places to visit in Kaziranga National Park.

Locally called as Keipholangso Falls, Kakochang Fall is a majestic waterfall amidst thick tea and coffee plantations. It cascades down from a height of about 40 m into a pool. One can have refreshing dip in the cool waters of the pool. The remains of the historical Numaligarh can also be viewed from this place. The surrounding tea plantations are yet another enchanting vistas at Kakochang Waterfalls.

To visit the falls, visitors have to trek about 3.5 km from the last motorable point at Naharjan Gaon.
