At a distance of 1 km from Saputara Bus Station, Nageshwar Mahadev Temple is a Hindu temple located on the southern bank of Saputara Lake in the hill town of Saputara. Just beside the Lake Garden, it is the most revered shrines of the region and also one of the best places to visit in Saputara.

The Nageshwar Mahadev Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, who is worshipped here as the God of Snakes (Nageshwar). Represents a simple architecture, the sanctum sanctorum of the temple enshrines a beautiful black granite Shivlinga. There is also a Nandi statue facing the lord in the outer hall of the temple. The temple is a calm, clean and spiritual place in Saputara.

Surrounded by many plants, the temple has a beautiful stone carved ceiling. An early morning visit to this temple could surely initiates good vibes. Although this temple is visited by several devotees every day, it witnesses a huge crowd on Mahashivratri.
