Sunrise Point - History, Timings & Entry Fee

At a distance of 3 km from Saputara Bus Station, Sunrise Point is a famous vantage point located in Saputara, Gujarat. Also known as Valley Viewpoint, it is one of the magnificent places to visit in Saputara.

Known for the splendid view of sunrise, Sunrise Point is a very serene and calm place to start your day with. Situated on the crest of a hill, this viewpoint gives a breath-taking view of the sunrise among the hills of Western Ghats. Besides, it is also a popular picnic spot, where families and tourists can be seen enjoying the natural beauty.

Sunrise Point has been developed at different layers with a dedicated area for walkers and joggers. The place can be reached by a 1.5 km trek from the parking area at the bottom of the hill. The trail is very scenic, covered with lush green vegetation and is an attraction in itself. There are many benches along the way, where the senior citizens can relax for a while, and guard railings have been installed for safety at the periphery of each terrace.

From the top of the peak, one can see the entire Saputara along with the surrounding villages and forests. During monsoons, one can also see a number of waterfalls in the surrounding areas and dense green foliage.
