Shirdi can be visited at any time throughout the year. However, Winter from October to March is the best season to plan a trip to Shirdi. Winter offers pleasant weather and the climate is convenient to enjoy your pilgrimage and sightseeing in Shirdi. Thursdays are more crowded and a minimum of 3-4 hours is needed to complete the temple darshan. Aarti timings are the best time for Shirdi Sai Baba Darshan (Kakad Aarti: 4.30 AM - 5 AM, Mid Day Aarti: 12 PM - 12.30 PM, Shej Aarti: 10.30 PM - 10.50 PM).

This festival is also celebrated as Shri Sai Punyathithi and also various religious activities are arranged in this time. Hotels are also very expensive during this season compared to regular time. Though summer is not the good season to visit Shirdi, some devotees visit this holy place during the summer season from nearby cities like Pune and Mumbai.

Winter Season (October - March):

The temperature hovers between 10°C and 25°C, making it a pleasant climate especially for exploring the town. The famous Shirdi Sai Baba temple also sees a large number of devotees, especially in October on the occasion of Shirdi Vijayadashmi/ Sri Sai Punyatithi. October and November are the months of festivals like Dussehra, Ganesh Puja and Diwali which are celebrated with great enthusiasm here.


Summer Season (March -June):

The temperature during this period varies between 27°C to 42°C. The weather is warm during the day and gets unbearable in the afternoons. The weather is dry and sunny, and there is frequent water shortage due to droughts. Light cotton clothing is recommended.


Monsoon Season (July - September):

June marks the beginning of monsoon season in Shirdi and it lasts till September. Adequate rainfall is experienced by the region in the months of July and September. If you plan to visit Shirdi during this time as the downpour of rain could get messy. Most of the 480mm of annual rainfall in the city fall between July and September, and July is the wettest month of the year.
