Udupi, Often called as the land of breathtaking beauty can be visited in Winter season from October to March. Winter is the most preferable season in Udupi to experience a pleasant atmosphere. This is the best time to visit the beautiful beaches around Udupi. Udupi is the cultural center of Karnataka and most of these take place in winter. Winter Season (October - February):

The weather is predominantly cool and dry and is a good time to explore the city and indulge in adventure tourism at the beaches. Temperature ranges from 10°C - 31°C. This is the peak season for tourists, however, October to March are the best months to visit Udupi. During the month of March, Ram Navmi is celebrated with massive religious fervor. Shivratri, Holi, and Dussehra are other festivals that are celebrated in Udupi. On Diwali, all the temples are decorated with lights. About one lakh lamps are lit in the street around the Krishna temple.


Summer Season (March - June):

It is sweltering during the summers, with the temperature rising to 40°C. It rains during the summer months too, which hampers your visit to the beaches. The day time of the place is quite scorching and irritating but the night brings some relief to the people. The city is the least crowded. So if you ever plan on visiting in summer, the Malpe Beach has seasonal water sports and an exciting sunset you can enjoy.


Monsoon Season (July - September):
