Haat Bazaar - History, Timings & Entry Fee

At a distance of 500 m from Kalimpong Bus Station, Haat Bazaar is a famous market place in Kalimpong. Situated in the city center, it is an important shopping hub of Kalimpong and also one of the great places to visit in Kalimpong.

Haat Bazaar is bustling local village market held every Wednesday and Saturday between 7 AM to 6.30 PM. It can be reached from Rishi road in Kalimpong. Villagers from nearby areas come here and set up stalls to sell their goods. The market is quiet popular and one can experience the true local flavors.

A part of the local tradition of Kalimpong, both locals and tourists look forwards to market days every week, a time when the city comes together and comes alive. The market sells clothes, umbrellas and bags on one side of the street, with fruits, vegetables, local and agricultural produce and spices on the other. The market is quite popular and usually means that most of the good stuff gets sold out, so it's advisable to reach here early in the morning. One can also try some tasty local delicacies at Haat Bazaar.
