At a distance of 20 km from Kohora Bus Stand, the Eastern Range or Agaratoli Range of the Kaziranga National Park spreads in the eastern side of the park along the National Highway near Agaratoli village. This zone has beautiful landscape with an abundance of wildlife species and lush greenery.

The entry gate to the Eastern Range of the Kaziranga National Park is situated at Agaratoli which is located on the National Highway. The Agaratoli Tourism Office is the starting point of this zone and only Jeep Safari is organized here. The Safari in Agaratoli Range covers Soholabeel, Maklung, Turturani and Dhuba areas of Kaziranga. It has a well-marked 22 km trail which took about 2 hours to complete.

Like Western Range, the safaris in Agaratoli Range are wilder and bumpy. Despite the bumpy rides, birders prefer this range because of the greater variety of birds, including bar-headed geese, black-necked storks, spot-billed ducks, and pelicans. The eastern zone also offers boat safari inside the park, which can be an amazing experience to explore the wildlife around the water bodies of the park.

To visit Eastern Zone, visitors need to get the permission from the Agaratoli Range Office. Maximum 20 vehicles are allowed to travel into Agaratoli Range during morning and same numbers of vehicles are allowed in the evening hours. Each vehicle is accompanied by trained guides or escorts. Advance booking is required for Jeep Safari and can be booked either from the Agaratoli Range Office or from hotels.
