At a distance of 13 km from Bokakhat, 32 km from Kohora, 56 km from Golaghat and 75 km from Jorhat, Kakochang is a stunning waterfall situated near Naharjan Gaon in Assam. It is one of the best waterfalls in Assam and among the best places to visit in Kaziranga National Park.

Locally called as Keipholangso Falls, Kakochang Fall is a majestic waterfall amidst thick tea and coffee plantations. It cascades down from a height of about 40 m into a pool. One can have refreshing dip in the cool waters of the pool. The remains of the historical Numaligarh can also be viewed from this place. The surrounding tea plantations are yet another enchanting vistas at Kakochang Waterfalls.

To visit the falls, visitors have to trek about 3.5 km from the last motorable point at Naharjan Gaon. Not only the spot is mesmerizing but the way to reach this spot is also wonderful as it covered with bamboo trees, some mean bridges and numerous small fresh water streams. The trek is easy, but for kids it might be tiring. Not many know of this place as it is situated in a remote location but worth to visit.
