At a distance of 0.5 Kms from Kottayam Railway Station, Good Shepherd Church is located just opposite to Police Parade Grounds near Logos Junction. This is the first Church of the Diocese of Vijayapuram. The church was constructed in 1882 in Italian Style and was renovated in 1964.
The annual festival of Good Shepherd is celebrated from April 10th to 12th every year. The St. Sebastian festival is also celebrated in a grand manner on January 20th. Devotees from neighbouring districts participate in large numbers on these festival days.
