At a distance of 1 Km from Kottayam Railway Station, Vimalagiri Church is a Roman Catholic Church and the Cathedral of Dioceses of Vijayapuram.
The construction of the church was started in 1956 and completed in 1964. This church was built in the Gothic architectural style with a 172 feet tower which is considered as one of the highest Church towers in Kerala.
The main annual festival is celebrated in the month of December and the church is crowded with worshipers from all over India.
