At a distance of 1 km from Munnar Bus Station, CSI Christ Church is an old church located in Munnar, Kerala. Situated on Kochi-Dhanushkodi Road, it is one of the beautiful places of heritage in Munnar and among the top places to visit in Munnar.

Carrying the legacy of a century, the CSI Christ Church is the most revered place of worship in Munnar and the headquarters of the CSI Munnar Pastorate with over thousand Tamil families and 18 outstation churches. The history of CSI Christ Church goes back to the missionaries who arrived here in the early 20th century. The church was built in the memory of the beloved wife of Henry Knight, Ilianor Knight, in the early 1900s. Later, it was made an exclusive cemetery for British planters. When the British left Munnar in 1981, they handed over the charge of the church to CSI North Kerala Diocese.

As per the history, the foundation stone of the church was laid in March 1910 by Sir A.K. Muir and was inaugurated on 16th April 1911 by Rev. W.F.B Hoysted, the then priest. Designed in the Gothic style of architecture, it was constructed using rough-hewn granites. The main attraction of this Church is its charming interiors, stained-glass windows, brass plaques, rows of rosewood pews and an ornate chandelier. There is a cemetery adjacent to this church with tombs, which dates back to 1894.
