At a distance of 5 km from Chanderi Bus Station, Battisi Baoli is an ancient stepwell situated in Chanderi, Madhya Pradesh. Situated in Pranpur, it is one of the popular Chanderi attractions.

Battisi Baodi or Baoli is the largest step-well in Chanderi. According to the inscriptions, the work on the stepwell was started by a Taghi during the reign of Sultan Ghyasuddin Khilji and was completed in the year 1484 AD. The inscription also tells us that in addition to the stepwell, a garden, and a mosque which has been compared to the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, was also built. It is believed that the water remains at the same level inside the well throughout the year.

The stepwell is square in shape with a dimension of 60 feet by 60 feet and has a depth of around four storeys. The stairs start from the main entrance and lead to the base of the well. The end of the main steps at each storey leads to beautiful platforms or ghats that surround the well on all sides. There are 32 ghats in the well, from which this stepwell has got its name. The main entrance is at the southern end which passes through two gates.

There is no proper road to reach the Baodi. One needs to walk about 2 km on a mud road to reach baoli from Pranpur.
