At a distance of 15 km from Chanderi Bus Station, Rajghat Dam is a masonry dam situated near Chanderi. Situated on the border of the states of Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, it is one of the scenic places to visit during the Chanderi trip.

The Rajghat Dam is an inter-state dam project of the governments of Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. The dam is constructed on the Betwa River and is linked to the Rajghat Reservoir. The foundation stone for this modern monument was laid by Late Smt. Indira Gandhi in 1971. The height of the dam is 43.8 m and the length is 11, 200 m. Three canals distribute water from the dam out of which two supply water to Uttar Pradesh while one supplies to Madhya Pradesh.

Three turbines of 15 megawatts each are installed to produce electricity. The length of the sand barrier constructed is more than 11 kilometers, which is the longest sand barrier in any dam in Asia. The view all around magnifies during sunset while the nearby park is perfect for a small picnic. The best time to visit the place is during monsoons- when the gates are opened.
