At a distance of 15 km from Malshej Ghat Bus Stop, Pimpalgaon Joga Dam is an earth-fill dam situated near Malshej Ghat in Maharashtra. It is one of the scenic dams near Pune and among the must-visit places in Malshej Ghat.

Pimpalgaon Joga Dam was constructed in the year 1999 across the enchanting Pushpavati River, a tributary of Kukadi River. The height of the dam is 94 feet while the length is 5 km. The gross storage capacity is 235,520.00 km3. The dam is located in the Ghod basin and is part of the Kukadi project, which also includes Yedgaon Dam, Manikdoh Dam, Dimbhe Dam, and Wadaj Dam. The construction of the dam has created a huge reservoir of water that is filled to the brim during the monsoon season. It is the main source of water for nearby towns and villages.

Spread over a vast expanse of backwaters, the 5 km long Pimpalgaon Joga Dam is one of the main attractions in Malshej Ghat. The scenic background of rolling hills adds to the beauty of the dam. Also, the dam is considered as a paradise for birdwatchers as they could spot beautiful native and migratory birds including purple moorhen, pitta, alpine swift, whistling thrush, green pigeon, quail, and pied crested cuckoo. Besides, one can also spot several migratory birds like Flamingos here during the winter season.

Boating & Camping are popular lakeside activities during the monsoon and winter seasons when sufficient water is available in the reservoir.
